Fees & insurance

Clear costs, agreed before you commit.

Whether you are using private medical insurance or funding your own treatment, costs will be explained clearly and you will receive a written quotation before investigations and treatments are arranged. There are no hidden charges, and choosing a private consultation does not commit you to private treatment — you are free to continue your care through the NHS at any stage.

How much does private lung and chest surgery cost in the UK?

The cost of private lung surgery varies according to where you have treatment, the operation required and your individual circumstances. As a guide, a private VATS or robotic lobectomy or segmentectomy typically costs approximately £18,000–£26,500 in total, while a VATS wedge resection or lung biopsy is typically around £9,000–£11,000. The figures below show how these costs are made up.
