Accessibility Statement

We want this website to be usable by as wide an audience as possible, including people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments.

Conformance: this website has been built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA as far as reasonably practicable. This has been assessed by internal review rather than by a formal third-party audit, so we describe the site as partially conformant: we are not aware of any outstanding level AA failure, but a small number of issues may exist that testing has not identified.

What we have done: semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard-operable navigation and accordions, visible focus styles, descriptive alternative text on illustrations and photographs, colour contrast checked against AA thresholds, text that reflows at 400% zoom and on small screens, and full respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference so that animations are disabled if you prefer.

Known limitations: the embedded Google Map is provided by a third party and its accessibility is outside our control; the practice address and contact details are always given in plain text alongside it. Documents or scans supplied by hospitals may not be accessible; we can provide information in another format on request.
